On behalf of C Cooper who sent in an email:-
I have noticed a bird in my garden that I have never seen before. It is about the size and build of a dove with 50mm sharp beak. The head has a very clear red top, black around the eye with a white patch behind that. The back of the body is light green and grey underneath. The legs where short. It was feeding by hammering the grass and, at times, sat on the ground whist pecking around it. Stayed around for about 10 minutes before flying off.
There is no picture of it in your collection.
Any idea what it may be?
