On behalf of Lucy who sent in an email:-

Mostly white, yellowish crop and crest; dull yellow feet; grey eyes and beak (short); long straight tail; ponytail-like crop; few dark spots on tail and wings. Shaped like a pheasant.

Can anyone identify?

Never seen a bird like that in any UK based bird books. I suspect it looks like an exotic chicken possibly an escapee

I meant to say "exotic pheasant/chicken possibly an escapee" As stated in the description - shaped like a pheasant. The legs are also pheasant/chicken like.

Probably a pheasant. There is a multitude of varieties in Asia. There's a well known fancier in Glen Prosen, Scotland and he has plenty of birds all colours and running wild.
