On behalf of Marjorie who sent in an email:-
Small, robin size slightly smaller. Speckled brown back. grey breast.
I believe it is a dunnock.
However, I have a problem.
I removed this bird from the jaws of a cat today. It has taken water from a dropper but no food, it is standing up and seems fairly perky. After it had rested and had stood up, I tried it on a flight but it didn't get far. It seems to have lost many of the flight feathers from one wing - I guess it is possible the wing is broken but everything else seems okay.
What are the chances of this bird growing more wing feathers / flying again / surviving.
If it does, what shall I feed it?
Marjorie
