Hi - I took these photos in Florida and have been unable to identify them. I have looked in books and thought the top photo is a Female King Eider Duck???

But the bottom photo is puzzling - I can't find a duck with orange legs, brown body, black head and it has a small blue patch down the side ?? - Appreciate any help Thanks.

Hi Joey!
Your first photo is either a female or immature Gadwall duck.
Your second is of a common mallard duck.  The image is backlit so it appears very dark, but the shape, size, and the bit of color visible screams drake mallard!
Hope this helps!
