On behalf of Andrew who sent in an email:-

I live aboard a narrowboat in Grand Union canal, I’ve been putting wild bird food outside my boat on towpath and this lovely bird landed but I had to get a photo off internet as I’ve no idea what it is? It share seed with blackbirds, Robins and tits..

Thanks Andrew

Hi Andrew.  This lovely bird is a Jay.  They are very striking particularly when the sun catches the iridescent blue flashes on its wing.  They are quite shy and generally a woodland bird but are often seen in the open.
