I came across a recently deceased bird whilst walking my dog last week and cannot find out what it was. No pics sadly but it was reasonably large, magpie sized or similar but a slightly different shape. It had very pretty pale grey feathers no colour variation at all over its body except the long feathers on the end of its wings which were a beautiful bright blue colour. It was in a field by a river in quite a rural location.

Probably a Jay and probably a juvenile (fewer markings shorter tail but still has the bright blue feathers on the wing).

Thank you. I looked at some pictures online and it's head was also a similar shape to a jay but just didn't have all the blue so I thought not. Very pretty bird.
