Came across this brightly iridescent bird in Fife today. Never seen anything like it before.

It was slightly bigger than a blackbird and looked a little out of place hopping along the line of a fence near a housing estate, and seemed a bit anxious.

I'm sure it's probably something really ordinary but would appreciate any help in ID'ing it.

Hi, Looks like a Grackle. Saw a couple of possible matches when I searched for it. Hope this helps.

Grackles are north American though?  Although it certainly looks similar to plenty of pictures on line for a Grackles, may be that's why it looked anxious and out of place!  It was!
