As I was coming back from lunch & walking through the park next to the river Lea in Luton I witnessed 2 crows "harassing" a bird as described above. I hadn't appreciated how territorial crows were. Can anyone help identify the bird which was chased away? The bird was much bigger up to twice the size & flew with steady flight and circled regularly (obviously making the most of any upstreams)

Would guess a buzzard, they are pretty big and would fly up like that. Crows would hate them

Nannyham is correct ... we have a family of them near where we live and virtually every day the get attacked and chased of by crows and indeed other birds .... they dont take prey in flight and not really agile in flight.
