A great photo taken in flight, Becky.  I am a little thrown by the blue 'undercarriage' in your photo. I believe it is a Little Egret but they are all white.  The flight shape is right, they have black legs, large yellow feet and a black beak all of which show in your photo.  Perhaps the blue is just shadow.

Definately a Little Egret as Mickc suggests. They're a strikingly elegant bird both in the air and on the ground. 

The "blue" colour and haloing wing edges are an optical effect called spherical aberration. Google it if you must but I shan't bore you here with the details. It's a lens thing!
